If I had to teach a beginner's¨course, I would certainly use this book sometimes. It has a nice lay-out, pleasant pictures and a very readable font. It's written completely in Finnish, and starts with the very basics of the language. The book contains exercises, mostly based on pictures, which is very interesting.
Studying on your own though, I wouldn't recommend this book. There is just so much that they don't explain.
