Recap of the examples
As you can see above, verb type one has consonant gradation. The
infinitive and the third person forms are strong, while the
minä, sinä, me and te are weak.
When you negate a verb, you always take the minä-form and remove the -n. Therefore the
negative forms are weak as well here, because minä gives you a weak form.
